EPS (Energy Performance Contract) is a contract used in the implementation of energy efficiency applications, where the savings in energy consumption values, or the new performance, are guaranteed. The financial benefits arising from these savings are shared between the user and the service provider, under this financing model, ensuring the energy-efficient application is carried out. The service providers are energy service companies.

At this point, SD METHOD acts as a bridge between energy service companies and users who will receive the service. In this context, SD METHOD can provide services to energy service companies such as preliminary audits, system solutions, project design, determining payback periods, and turnkey applications. Additionally, SD METHOD can directly manage the entire process on behalf of end-users, such as businesses (factories, commercial buildings), by taking their requests and coordinating the implementation.

 

In the EPS model, alongside the performance guarantee of the system solution, the entire process—from proper project design and system monitoring throughout its lifecycle to the use of correct products, maintenance, and operational management—is handled by the energy service company. As a result, businesses face no risk. Unlike the “Build, Operate, Transfer” model, the “Build, Transfer, and Operate” model is employed. When businesses use traditional financing methods, they are required to procure each service separately and correctly, including mechanical design & planning, selecting the right products, ensuring service and spare parts availability, choosing the implementation company, and providing verification services. Since the companies providing these services are not naturally accountable for a common outcome, using the EPS model for services is preferred from all aspects.

This includes mechanical design, planning, procurement of services, and turnkey implementation. As the project manager, SD METHOD provides a comprehensive range of services throughout the entire project.

Project financing is provided without utilizing the business’s equity or bank loan options.

Thanks to smart sensors and the automation system, the completed project can be remotely monitored, with active tracking through designated computer and IP addresses. Evaluation reports, performance data, potential preventive measures, maintenance, and fault notifications can be provided.
