The European Commission has launched the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) Portal as of January 1, 2025. This portal enables facility operators in third countries to manage their carbon-related processes more transparently and efficiently.

Through the portal, users can:

✅ Apply to the European Commission to register as an official operator.
✅ Share facility and emission data with EU declarants in a streamlined manner.
✅ Report carbon prices paid in third countries to the Commission and EU authorities.
✅ Ensure confidentiality of declared data.

Particularly, companies exporting steel, aluminum, and cement products to the European Union are now required to report the carbon content of their products. Therefore, it is crucial for Turkish companies to reduce carbon emissions in their production processes and comply with relevant climate policies.
